Great Basin Basics Community Workshop

Want to learn more about the Great Basin, the beautiful place we call home? Well look no further, NOS has partnered with local experts to bring a community workshop featuring all the best parts of Nevada to YOU! Join us for a day of learning all about local wildlife in the area with the Nevada Department of Wildlife, local plants and trees with NOS, local history with the California Trail Center and Northeastern Nevada Museum, and more!. There will also be local geologists presenting on the geology of the Great Basin and surrounding areas. Pack a lunch as we fill you full of knowledge on the Great Basin, for example, did you know that the Great Basin Region has some of the most diverse landscapes and ecosystems? Come to this FREE workshop to learn even more. Please remember to dress warm as this event will take place outdoors. Youth should be accompanied by an adult for the duration of the workshop. Be sure to pack a lunch and a water bottle. S’mores and hot chocolate will be provided.
