Elko is in the northeastern corner of the State of Nevada, situated on the Humboldt River between Reno, Nevada and Salt Lake City, Utah. The high desert communities throughout Elko County experience all four seasons, each bringing wonderful opportunities for outdoor recreation, event participation and enjoying all the area has to offer.

There are several options to make your way to Elko, be it planes, trains or automobiles.

Fly Elko, Nevada

The Elko Regional Airport terminal features a spacious waiting area, rental car companies and a small art gallery. The airport has two asphalt run¬ways, one spanning over 7,000 ft. in length. Aircraft of all sizes can be accommodated at the Elko Airport, including Air Force One!

SkyWest Airlines offers a daily Delta Connection flight to Salt Lake City, Utah. Tickets can be booked direct with Delta using EKO as your destination.

Chartered and private air service finds a warm welcome from Mountain West Aviation. Mountain West Aviation is a first rate FBO offering helicopter and airplane charters for business and pleasure, flight lessons and aviation repair services on site.

Ground Transportation

If you arrived in Elko without wheels, there are several options to help you get out and about and cruising around town.

Rental car agencies Avis, Hertz & Enterprise are located in the Elko Regional Airport and reservations can be made direct with those organizations.

There are a few Lyft and Uber drivers in the Elko area, in addition to Elko Taxi Service.

GET My Ride is a demand response/dial-a-ride public transit service operated by Elko County offering service throughout the City of Elko, Spring Creek, Ryndon and Osino. It also offers limited service to Carlin and Wells.

Charter ground transportation services for groups may be available through Coach USA Elko or Mountain Crew Change.

Traveling the Tracks

Amtrak’s California Zephyr route passes through Elko, Nevada on its journey from Chicago, Illinois to San Francisco, California.

The Elko Amtrak stop has two covered platforms for West- and East-bound passengers respectively. Overnight parking is free at both platforms. There are no amenities or services available at the Elko Amtrak stop.
