Campgrounds
From camping to glamping, Elko has a spot for you
Regardless of your camping style, the Elko area is sure to have a spot for your overnight in the great outdoors. You’ll find developed campgrounds which take reservations, some offering first-come, first-serve spaces and lots of wide open space for dispersed camping.
If dispersed camping is your preference, please follow responsible camping practices. In addition to the suggestions on this site, the US Forest Service requires dispersed campers to camp at least 100 feet from all water sources and dig a hole at least six (6) inches deep for disposal of human waste. Be sure to check with the agency governing where you choose to camp to ensure compliance with their guidelines and requirements.
