Hot Air Balloon Festival in Elko
Did you know there’s a spectacular hot air balloon festival right here in Elko, NV? That’s right. Each summer, the sky is filled with vibrant colors and colorful characters as the annual Ruby Mountain Balloon Festival delights crowds with evening glow shows and daytime balloon flights.
As many as 40 balloon pilots and crews from all over the United States converge on Elko to enjoy wide open balloon flying at the foot of the beautiful, majestic Ruby Mountains in all its summer glory.
Ruby Mountain Balloon Festival
The Ruby Mountain Balloon Festival is an annual event sponsored by Ruby Mountain Hot Air Inc., a non-profit, local organization whose mission is to come together as balloonists — pilots, crew and interested individuals — to educate and share the sport of Hot Air Ballooning.
The Balloon Festival will host a variety of vendors selling unique balloon-themed items and festive attire. Various activities during the event include kids programs, a can’t-miss nighttime balloon glow and tethered balloon rides for all ages.
