National Cowboy Poetry Gathering

Since 1985, this premiere Elko event has brought together ranchers, farmers, cowboys and everyday folks to learn about the heritage of the West through storytelling, poems, music and more. It’s a true Nevada tradition that tops many a bucket list.

National Basque Festival

The Elko National Basque festival began with a celebration bringing sheepherders and cattle ranchers into town in early July. Today’s National Basque Festival lets you experience great food, music and dance in celebration of its culture and heritage.
